Fast, easy way to curl hair?

O.K so i try curling my hair with a curling iron but it goes flat by the middle of the day! i have also tried braiding it the night before but it just poofs up, and putting curlers over night, same thing, what should i do to get a cute curl in my hair? my hair is somewhat thin and blond, 4 in past shoulders length, HELP!
