How can i find a improved cdi box for my 2001 honda rancher ES 350 4x4?

i have a 2001 honda rancher ES 350 4x4 and i am trying to upgrade it to its best power abilities. i have a friend that tells me i should put a new cdi box on it, but i cant find one for that make and model... do they even make one?
