Westerners think the jihad is so wrong,but what about the extermination law against Mormons in Missouri?

Mormons could be shot legally in Missouri from 1838 until the law was rescinded in 1976. Does this point to the fact that the religious killings in muslim countries are symptomatic of spiritual maturity forming in the same way it did in the U.S.? What do you think?
